A recent study by the consultancy firm Synopsis, led by political scientist Lucas Romero, shows that 61.5 percent of Argentines want a change of model compared to the current administration of President Javier Milei. The report highlights that only 33.8 percent prefer the continuity of the current course.
The demand for a shift in national politics reaches even sectors that accompanied the ruling party. Some 20 percent of those who voted for La Libertad Avanza in 2025 are now in favor of a change, evidencing growing disillusionment with the model based on wage adjustment and stagnation.
In electoral terms towards 2027, Peronism leads the intention to vote by a narrow margin against La Libertad Avanza. The ruling party has a potential support of 37.2%, a figure that adds to its hard core of 18.5% with 18.7% of voters who would choose the president in the absence of a more attractive alternative.
For its part, the opposition 41.1% intends to vote firmly, in addition to 19.2% who would opt for an opposition candidate even though they have not yet found an option that fully satisfies them.
The study highlights a phenomenon of generalized disaffection: 37.9% of the electorate admit that they are not convinced by any of the current alternatives. This group identifies 20.3% of former libertarian voters who are already planning to vote for the opposition in the next electoral contest.
These data confirm that, although the Government maintains a back-up floor considered relevant, the majority of the population demands to leave behind the current economic model. Lack of representation and uncertainty dominate an electoral scenario that remains open for 2027.
