The president
of the opposition Justice First Party, José Brito, considered that “anyone
who is unaware of State institutions, the rule of law, who
conspires against the country, must be banned for life.”
In this regard,
during his interview on the Al Aire program, he referred to the acts of violence
following the election results of July 28 and noted that these actions
mark “a before and after; the objective of some was not to participate in an electoral
process, but to forge a coup d'etat. There were political sectors
that sought to generate deaths, anxiety, to justify unspeakable ends.”
He pointed out that it is inconceivable
that the far-right political sectors that generated the pockets of violence now do not want to take responsibility.
“Some intend to crouch down, to break into some
mayors to finance extremism. The time has come to
reinstitutionalize the country. And those of us who do politics, that beyond
differences, we have to dialogue and create the conditions for
governance, contribute to peace,” he said.
On the other hand, he highlighted
the consultation process for the reform of electoral laws that is being carried out
throughout Venezuela and valued that in all states political organizations
are presenting their proposals at the working tables.
He noted that
among the most debated points are: the election of the office of vice-president
of the Republic, the second round, legislation on social networks and the
structure of political parties.
