Opposition representative Luis Eduardo Martínez stated that media and longliners “have been charging” significant amounts of money for years to reflect Washington's political news interests, through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), as has been reported by the North American nation itself.

He also specified that the National Assembly (AN) should discuss the funding received by Venezuelan media from USAID.
