A total of 24,600 kilos of green coffee are exported from Táchira to Italy, produced by Hacienda La Palmita, an establishment with 129 years of experience in harvesting and processing coffee and also top quality cocoa.
From the production unit, located in Rubio, Minister Coromoto Godoy accompanied the loading process of this office, the first in 2026, where she learned how this family business started in 1897 uses machinery for coffee processing that combines processes with a tradition of more than 125 years, including a water mill, a pulper and an old dryer, which, combined with the latest generation technology, guarantees the high quality of the product and its positioning in the Italian market.
It should be noted that the company Daniel E. Uzcátegui Sucesores S.A. has sustained this effort for four generations, with its own nursery, which was also visited by the owner of the Foreign Trade portfolio.
“In this state there is a tradition of agricultural, productive and manufacturing export and commercial culture,” the minister acknowledged, as well as the optimism and commitment of that company to the country, which generates 165 direct and indirect jobs.
