PSUV congratulates Deputy Minister Noly Fernández after obtaining the OPS Management and Leadership Award 2026

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, recognized this Monday during the weekly press conference of the National Directorate of the Red Awning the award of the PAHO Award for Management and Leadership in Health Services 2026 to the Deputy Minister of Integral Health, Noly Fernández.

Cabello framed this achievement as part of the commemorations leading up to the Day of Indigenous Resistance, on October 12, highlighting the official's career and Wayúu origin. “The participation of the Deputy Minister highlights the impact on national and international indigenous health, with this Venezuela consolidates the alliance to consolidate a comprehensive health system,” she said.

He also highlighted that this international award makes visible the efforts of the Venezuelan State to guarantee a health model with cultural relevance that vindicates the ancestral knowledge of the original communities.

The recognition took place during the 63rd Board of Directors of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the 78th session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Americas, events held at PAHO Headquarters in Washington, D.C. (USA).
