Again! Extreme alert activated in Catalonia due to torrential rains

The president of the Government of Catalonia, Salvador Illa, called on Monday to be alert due to heavy rains in the affected regions of Barcelona and Tarragona.
“We are still on extreme alert for caution and follow all the advice and recommendations of the emergency services,” Illa said through her account on the social network X.
The reaction is due to the weather effects caused by Dana and the maximum alert of the Spanish Meteorological Agency, the civil protection of Catalonia sent messages to all mobile phones to alert them to the situation.
The torrentials will discharge up to 180 liters of water per square meter in several areas of the community in just 12 hours.
Other areas that have registered significant amounts of water have been the Parc Nacional dels Ports (54.2); El Perelló (52.7); Tarragona-Complez Eduatiu (52.3), Torredembarra (51.2); Vacarisses (47.9), Hostalets de Pierola (47.8), PN del Garraf (46.3) and Barcelona-Zona Universitaria (45.8), as reported by the local press.
