ALBA condemns U.S. intention to steal Venezuela's natural wealth

‎La Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), through a statement, rejected the U.S. decision to completely block oil tankers to Venezuela in addition to its intention to steal its natural wealth.

‎Los countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for Peoples of Our America (ALBA), Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Grenada and Saint Lucia, denounce to the peoples of the world the serious, reckless and supremacist threat made on December 16, 2025 by the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,‎‎Esta, that

announces a total blockade and the forced appropriation of Venezuelan resources, constitutes an act of international aggression that violates in a rude and flagrant manner the Charter of the United Nations, International Law and the most elementary principles of coexistence between States.

‎La explicit intention to steal Venezuela's oil, land and natural wealth, as well as to prevent free navigation and international trade, constitutes a crime against humanity, by deliberately threatening the life, economy, health and the sacred integral development of an entire people. The use of the blockade as a political and military weapon is a practice proscribed by international law and has been historically condemned for its inhuman and genocidal nature.

‎EI ALBA categorically rejects the absurd and irresponsible classification of the Government of Venezuela as a “terrorist organization”, a maneuver that seeks to justify imperial aggression and cover up a project of colonial domination. This escalation of war not only threatens Venezuelan sovereignty, but it also puts regional and world peace at serious risk, republishing the worst pages of interventionism that Our America has faced throughout its history.

‎Los peoples and governments of ALBA express our full and unrestricted solidarity with President Nicolás Maduro, with the Bolivarian Government and with the Venezuelan people, and we warn that any aggression against Venezuela is an aggression against all of Our America. We call on the peoples of the world, on social movements to reject this criminal threat and to defend the right of peoples to decide their own destiny.

‎Reafirmamos that Our America is not a colony or backyard of any empire. Venezuela is not alone. Free peoples will know how to defend peace, sovereignty and dignity against any attempt at domination.
