In the framework of the XXIV Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, accepted the proposal made by the Heads of Member States to resume the work agenda for carrying out the Councils of Ministers.

“I accept the proposal made by the delegations to reactivate in the month of January the holding of the ALBA Councils of Ministers, plus the special guests,” he said.

He also indicated that as a priority they will have the installation of the Council of Ministers of Agriculture, with the objective of implementing the AgroAlba production plan. At the same time, he indicated that the Council of Ministers of Economy will then be held, in order to continue integrating the proposal of Sucre and Banco del ALBA.

He noted that the Councils of Ministers of Tourism, Transport, Energy and Health will also be held. “I think that's how we can start the first quarter of 2025, in a united, joint and simultaneous government offensive,” he said.

On the other hand, he took the opportunity to dismiss international organizations such as the Organization of American States (OAS). “The Secretary General of the OAS has run out of time, (Luis) Almagro is going straight to the garbage dump of history,” he said, stressing that imperialism and its lackeys continue to underestimate the people of Venezuela.
