The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, read the Declaration of the XIII Extraordinary Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), reaffirming the principles of sovereignty and self-determination of peoples and the proclamation of the region as a Zone of Peace.

The document reflects the decision of this block of countries to defend the sovereignty of the nations of this part of the American continent as well as to declare their support for the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduros Moros, who is the object of infamy on the part of the United States and its allies with the intention of militarily attacking Venezuela.

“We announce our strongest and absolute support, to the constitutional president, Nicolás Maduros Moros. who is once again facing a disastrous offensive and political and judicial persecution promoted by the US government and we denounce that baseless, mythomaniac accusations lacking legal support, used as a mechanism of media and diplomatic harassment, are part of the strategy of political judicialization to delegitimize sovereign governments and open the way to foreign intervention,” read the Venezuelan Head of State during a video conference.

The ALBA-TPC denounced and rejected the serious threats to peace and security in Latin America and the Caribbean resulting from aggressions undertaken by the U.S. government to continue trying to discredit the advances of the Bolivarian Revolution.

The published document has the support of the presidents of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel; Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacora; the co-presidents of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo; the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves; the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne; the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Dominica, Vince Henderson; the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Grenada, Joseph Andall; and the ambassador of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Norgen Wilson.
