Albert Ramírez won the world title defense against Croatia's Marko Calic (+Canada)

The Venezuelan boxer, Albert Ramírez, won the defense of the World Boxing Association's semicomplete title against the Croatian, Marko Calic, during the evening that took place in Canada.

Ramírez repeatedly knocked down Calic, until the corner of the Croatian boxer asked the referee to stop the fight in the actions of the third round, according to Prensa Ministerio del Deporte.

This is the second defense of his title for the Meridian. The first time that the native of El Vigía had his belt respected, was in the contest played at the José María Vargas Domo in La Guaira, on August 23, 2024 against the German, Adam Deines.

In this way, Ramírez extends his record to 20 victories, 17 through the knockout and no losses.
