The president of the Nominations Committee of the National Assembly (AN), Guiseppe Alessadrello, highlighted the work of its members during the 21 days of evaluation of candidates for positions of the Citizens' Power.
“It was a team effort, where the decisions taken were taken by consensus by the 13 deputies that make up this Committee. It was a neat job, that's what I call it,” Alessandrello emphasized.
He stressed that the decision of the plenary ratifies the technical work that was carried out for more than 20 days.
“You witnessed today how the Venezuelan constitution is made a living letter,” he emphasized
For his part, the first vice-president, José Gregorio Correa, that the work that was carried out was mandated by the Constitution and the laws.
“The three citizens appointed by the National Assembly to run for office to the Citizens' Power or fully meet the requirements,” he said.
This Thursday, the National Parliament ratified Tarek William Saab as Attorney General and Alfredo Ruíz, as Ombudsman, while appointing Gustavo Vizcaíno, as Comptroller General.
