Ambassador Capaya Rodríguez held a meeting with businessmen from India

The ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of India, Capaya Rodríguez González, received a group of businessmen at the headquarters of the Diplomatic Mission, led by Nain Singh, executive director of Loyal Med Tours, a tourism company that was present at the most recent edition of the International Tourism Fair (FITVEN) 2024, which was held in San Cristóbal, Táchira state.

The Embassy of Venezuela in India, through its account on the social network Instagram, indicated that Singh thanked the Bolivarian Government for the invitation issued by the Bolivarian Government to attend the mentioned tourist event.

“He expressed his satisfaction at having been received by the highest authorities, including President Nicolás Maduro Moros and the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, as well as for having signed a cooperation agreement on the matter with the Tachirense company Meilin Tours C.A., in order to promote the tourist flow from one country to the other,” the message states.

The group included the general manager of Market Strategy of the oil company Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Mazher Alam, who presented research on the conditions of energy use for domestic purposes in rural areas of Venezuela, in which he concluded that one- and two-burner cookers that use solar energy, manufactured and distributed by the company, would be of great use in the South American country.

For his part, the executive director of S.D. Polymer Ltd, Dhanish Goyal, presented the advantages of plastic recycling offered by the aforementioned company, through a procedure proven successful in India, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, which is very favorable to the environment and provides economic benefits to all parties involved, including the State in whose territory it is implemented.

The Secretary General of the Indian Carbon Markets Association, Rohit Kumar, invited the head of the Venezuelan mission in New Delhi to be present, as guest of honor, at the event “India Climate Week 2025” (India Climate Week 2025), to be held between February 03 and 07, and extended the invitation to all entities, organizations, institutions, chambers of commerce and public and private companies interested in participating.

The activity seeks to promote the inclusive participation of all society in progressive strategies aimed at decarbonization and resilience, as well as offering authentic exposure to the development and implementation of projects, while remaining deeply connected with traditional values to promote efforts towards sustainability and collective progress.

Ambassador Capaya Rodríguez thanked all the businessmen who attended the meeting for their visit and illustrative exhibitions, assuring them that she will take all necessary steps to disseminate the business proposals received and, in addition, to encourage Venezuelan participation in the event described by Kumar.

The diplomat welcomed the proposed initiatives with great interest, since all of them tend to greater bilateral relations in commercial and cooperation matters, a priority objective of the Bolivarian Government led by President Nicolás Maduro.
