Ambassador Radamés Gómez Azuaje presented Credentials to the King of Thailand

Radamés Gómez Azuaje officially presented His Majesty Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, King of Thailand, with the Credential Letters that formalize him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to this Southeast Asian country.
 
During the ceremony, which took place at the Royal Palace of Amphorn, located in the city of Bangkok, Ambassador Gómez Azuaje conveyed to His Majesty the sentiments of affection and friendship, as well as the greetings of the Venezuelan people and the Bolivarian Government, and it was also an opportunity to express to the monarch wishes for peace and prosperity for the people of Thailand.

He expressed Venezuela's interest in deepening the historic ties of friendship, cooperation and mutual respect that have characterized relations between the two nations, stressing that they share values such as respect for sovereignty, the vocation for peace and the search for balanced, sustainable and just development, among others.

The Venezuelan representative also expressed his country's desire to strengthen bilateral relations in areas such as energy, tourism, trade, food security and agriculture, and the promotion of joint mechanisms that promote science, technology and human development, essential pillars for a shared future.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Kingdom of Thailand began diplomatic relations on August 27, 1982. Since then, mutual respect and shared aspirations for world peace and economic prosperity have characterized the strong relationship between the two nations.
