The National Assembly (AN) approved in the first discussion the Budget Bills for Financial Year 2026 and the Annual Debt Law 2026, presented this Thursday, December 4, by the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez.

In the regular session, the president of the Subcommittee on Productive Economy of the AN, deputy José Vielma Mora, when presenting the report of the Draft Budget, stressed that it contemplates the duties and commitments attached to the country's income and expenses, established in Articles 311, 312 and 314 of the Bolivarian Constitution.

He also explained that this project includes the Organic Law on Financial Administration of the public sector, in its third paragraph of Article 187, in order to guarantee administrative reciprocity and budgetary balance, important for economic growth.

He specified that 67.50% of the budget will be used for remuneration, pensions, for the Homeland System, financing expenses, areas of health, science, technology, education, roads, food, as well as projects that are part of the Seven Transformations (7T), for the modernization of the Venezuelan State, which also strengthens inclusion and social justice for collective satisfaction.

Vielma pointed out that in 2025 there was a healthy distribution of social wealth. “We are going to give greater strength and strength to the Popular Power with an increase of 30% that goes to the projects of the People to energize the work of the Communes,” he added.

He indicated that another percentage will be allocated to states and municipalities, including “for the first time in history the State of Guiana Esequiba”.

She also states that this budget strengthens the country's social development, as indicated by Vice President Rodríguez, “77.8% will be used to strengthen social investment,” she stressed.
