AN approves Approval Law for the Establishment of the International Big Cat Alliance

The National Assembly (AN) approved the Law Approving the Framework Agreement for the Establishment of the International Big Cat Alliance.

This Law seeks the protection of biodiversity, the protection of life and especially of the seven most important feline species that today suffer the threat of the development model that commodifies them.

In this regard, Venezuela takes the initiative of the Act because of the country's diverse potential, housing no less than six of the 41 feline species, representing 14% of them.

This Act protects the species that shelter in Venezuela, such as the jaguar, puma, cunaguaro, margay, ounce and oncilla.
