This Thursday, during the regular session, the National Assembly (AN) approved the Draft Agreement in repudiation of the infamous theft of the aircraft belonging to the Venezuelan state company Transporte Aerocargo del Sur, by the US government with the participation of the Government of the Republic of Argentina, in accordance with the provisions of article 111 of the Regulations of Interior and Debate.
“Today we are in an act of theft, of piracy, the airspace of other countries was violated to take this plane to the United States,” emphasized Congresswoman Blanca Eekhout, who presented the Draft Agreement.
In this regard, Eekhout indicated that the Parliament supports all the struggles of the Bolivarian Government to recover the Boeing 747 aircraft. “Let the world know that there is no rule of law but piracy controlling the world and the imperial dictatorship in Venezuela will not pass.”
For his part, the first vice-president of the AN, Pedro Infante, pointed out that the Boeing 747 is one of the largest cargo planes in existence and that it was used to bring vaccines, medicines, food and spare parts, among others.
“It's a plane that belongs to Venezuela and has a value of 83 million dollars. They just stole 83 million dollars from us (...) with the theft of this plane they attack the country's operational capabilities to steal the assets of the people, and who does it? the Government of the United States and the Argentine Government and the system of government of justice,” he denounced.
He stressed that Venezuela will respond and will do what it has to do to recover the aircraft and defend its assets abroad.
