The National Assembly (AN) expressed, through a statement, its regret over the physical departure of Maestro Rodolfo Saglimbeni, director of the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of Caracas.

The text signed by the president of the Legislative Branch, Jorge Rodríguez, highlighted the passion and dedication of Maestro Saglimbeni, which marked an era in Venezuelan academic music.

The pain that grieves his friends and the people of Caracas over the loss of Maestro Rodolfo Saglimbeni, director of the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of Caracas, whose passion and dedication marked an era in Venezuelan academic music, and his artistic commitment was a fundamental pillar in the formation of generations of musicians who today honor his work.

Maestro Saglimbeni not only masterfully and excellently directed the musical collective, he also enriched our culture with his sensitivity, dedication and generosity. His vision transcended the stage, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of sharing his art and learning from it.

His memory will be both perennial and tangible in every effort to continue elevating symphonic music as he did.

We accompany his family, colleagues and friends in this time of pain, and we honor with respect and gratitude the immense contribution he left in our lives, to symphonic art and to the musical history of Venezuela.
