As part of the commemoration of 215 years since the signing of the Act of Independence, the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, sent an emotional message through her official Telegram channel, coinciding with the graduation of the new officers from the Bolivarian Military University of Venezuela (UMBV). The president highlighted the profound patriotic sentiment of the date and called on all citizens to face the nation's current challenges with integrity and cohesion.
In his publication, Rodríguez recalled the historic milestone in which Venezuelans decided to be sovereign, drawing a direct parallel with the collective capacity to overcome the difficulties derived from the recent seismic contingency. “215 years ago, the Venezuelan people decided that Venezuela would be free, and today it is up to us to show that we also know how to stand together in the face of adversity,” said the head of state in charge.
In addition, the president in charge made a direct urge to the population to be actively involved in the social and moral refoundation of the country, under the protection of the country's historical values. “My call is to all of us who love this land to build a new nation, inspired by the spirit of our Liberator Simon Bolivar: a united, supportive, profoundly human Venezuela committed to its people,” he emphasized on the digital platform.
The dignitary urged maintaining determination and commitment to service to consolidate the foundations of a prosperous, just and self-sufficient society for the future. “Let's embrace hope and make this time the beginning of a stronger Republic, where every Venezuelan finds reasons to believe, serve and build the future since independence,” Rodríguez concluded.
