The National Assembly will set up an inter-institutional commission to address the issue of road safety in the country, said Deputy Rubén Limas

According to a press release from Parliament, the deputy explained that it is a matter of drawing up an agenda to seek a solution to the continuous motorcycle accidents, which are increasing every day and which represent a serious situation that must be addressed.

Limas, who is a traumatologist, emphasized that tangible solutions must be sought immediately, because the accidents recorded occur in young people, people of productive age and, most of them, are parents of families who leave children in orphans.

He indicated, according to a press release from the parliament, that there are people who suffer injuries from motorcycle accidents and, at times, arrive late at health centers, complicating the procedures for the operation because they have advanced levels of infection, they have pseudarthrosis, they end up with amputated limbs and, in the worst case, they die from traumatic brain injury.

Limas explained that representatives of public transport, officials from the Ministry of People's Power for Health and members of the motorized movement will participate in this Inter-institutional Commission.
