The rector of the Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB), Father Arturo Peraza, indicated that the path of confrontation of the Venezuelan opposition is years old and with “disastrous” results.
“In the zero-sum game we're in, where someone wins and someone else loses, 'the winner takes it all' (the winner takes it all), from there we probably won't have any way out except through confrontation and I think it's a path that we've tried at other historical moments in the country and it didn't have good results; they were terrible,” he said during a contact with the VPTI media.
He expressed the importance of a path of dialogue for the good of Venezuela, while warning that the opposition is repeating the scenario of violence following the results of the July 28 elections.
According to what was published on the Fuser website, the rector also acknowledged that the opposition is still unable to articulate an alternative or an effective option.
