On August 18, 2001, Anibal Nazoa died, a prominent writer, poet and journalist who captured with intelligent humor the realities of Venezuela during puntofixism.

As a child he had to work because of his economic condition, however, he was a self-taught child and in his role as packer in the newspaper El Universal, he was encouraged to learn typography, English and French, and then to fall in love with the world of culture and communication.

In this same media, he created his first column On the Same Street, where he expressed with great acidity the injustices that subjected the people during the Fourth Republic, an inexhaustible defender of culture and social causes.

His works include: Here It's Hot in 1969; The Arts and Crafts, a book published in 1973 and The Word of Today, 1981, among others.

24 years after his planting, Anibal Nazoa's thinking remains and is an example of future generations.
