On April 14, 2002, with the return of Commander Hugo Chávez to the Miraflores Palace, the Bolivarian ideology also returned, which was violated by stateless persons who usurped power on April 12, 2002.
“To God what is God's, to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to the People what belongs to the People, I begin like this with these words full of I don't know how many feelings cross my chest, my soul, my mind; thoughts, feelings,” said Chávez with his Christ in hand.
The Commander called for peace and national reconciliation, demonstrating his statesman character.
“Back to calm, it prevails now! I call for a return to calm in the country. I call for us to strengthen the unity of Venezuelans, I call for us to continue the march at the pace of winners,” he said.
“I return spiritually charged with great love, and above all, if I loved you two days ago, today after this historic day, of this unprecedented demonstration in the world of how a people and their soldiers stop a counterrevolution and carry out a counter-revolution, without firing a shot, without shedding blood, and putting things back in their place. After this memorable, historic day, indelible forever and ever, if yesterday I loved them, today I love them much more. Love pays for love,” emphasized Commander Chávez.
23 years after the Commander's rescue, the civic-military union remains firm, in a permanent battle to defend national sovereignty and the dignity of the country.
