Aragua will hold the Third Regional History Congress

The Santiago Mariño Municipal Council reported that the state of Aragua will hold the 3rd Regional History Congress next November as part of the Seven Transformations (7T), for which they urged researchers and community chroniclers to register.

In this regard, the director of the entity's History, Memory and Heritage Network, Nelly Guilarte, outlined the details of the launch of the registration register for participants in this important congress.

“We are going to hold our third congress in Aragua, in the month of November, on the 26th, 27th and 28th; for this reason we urge everyone to prepare their papers to participate in this activity,” he said.

Registration to participate in the III Regional Congress of History, Chronicles and Communal Stories will be open until October 15. This regional activity is part of the preparatory activities for the "XVII National and International Congress of History", to be held in 2026 in the city of Mérida.

Guilarte also reported that the congress will be linked to Governor Joana Sánchez's management plan, which has to do with the identity of Aragüeña history and as part of the Pan de las 7T, which was instructed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros.

The thematic axes of the congress are:

  • From Bolivar to Chávez, Thought and Doctrine.

  • Geopolitics of the 21st century

  • Local and regional history.

  • Bicentennial era: events, protagonists and scope.

  • Afro-Venezolanidad

  • Tangible and intangible heritage of the Aragüeño territory, current state, challenges and challenges for its preservation.

This congress seeks to collect the works exhibited for digital publication, with the purpose of continuing the promotion of this space of participation for the production of proposals and reflections on the history of the country and the international context.
