President (E) Rodríguez emphasized that morgue management is attached to Venezuelan laws: No one goes to a mass grave!

The president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, explained that the morgue is managed in accordance with Venezuelan laws, activating a specialized space in the state of La Guaira to guarantee decent, safe treatment without public exposure.
He explained that this specialized morgue was activated with the participation of the National Service of Medicine and Forensic Sciences (SENAMECF), the Public Ministry and the Civil Registry .
At the Miraflores Palace, during a press conference with international media, to provide an assessment of the earthquakes last Wednesday, June 24, he said that “no one is going to a mass grave”.
He emphasized that each case receives a rigorous identification process, “the first thing is recognition by fingerprint and photograph, in cases where it has not been possible, we go for forensic teeth. We have all the forensic doctors in this work who have allowed each body to have a file, allowing it to be recognized.”
“In some cases the relatives have made the decision to cremate him and in others to bury him,” he said.
The president in charge assured that the protocols applied comply with national and international standards for the treatment of victims of natural disasters.
