This Monday, due to budget cuts and the demand for an increase in salaries, Argentine teachers join the national strike called by the Confederation of Education Workers (CTERA).

The economic measures of the extreme right wing Javier Milei have left a bad taste in the mouth of this educational union, which represents the 50% of the South American country demanding the vindication of their labor and economic rights on February 26th.

The mobilization is planned outside the Pizzurno Palace, headquarters of the Ministry of Education, in the Argentine capital.

According to what was published on the Telesur web portal, other reasons why teachers from all provinces of the country are leaving are due to the formation of the national joint board, payment of the Wage Compensation Fund (FONID) and the Compensation Fund, the National Fund for Education, defense of retirees, among others.
