Arrives in Venezuela, director of the Alexandria Library for FILVEN 2025

The director of the Alexandria Library, Ahmed Abdallah Zayed Hegad, arrived this Monday at Simon Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetia, in the state of La Guaira, to represent the Arab Republic of Egypt at the International Book Fair of Venezuela (FILVEN) 2025, as a guest country of honor along with a delegation of 30 writers, publishers and officials from that nation.

The information was released by the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas Poljak through his official Telegram channel, in which he recalled “this year the Arab Republic of Egypt is the guest country of honor, an unmissable opportunity to learn about its literature and culture”.

A Venezuelan delegation, composed of the Deputy Minister of Identity and Cultural Diversity, Ignacio Barreto, representatives of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, specifically the Office for Africa, as well as delegates from the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, received the director of the Alexandria Library, Ahmed Abdallah Zayed Hegad.

The participation of Ahmed Abdallah Zayed Hegad will strengthen cultural ties between the two nations, and will be a great opportunity to consolidate an even more fruitful collaboration. This literary meeting between Venezuela and Egypt will also be an opportunity to promote major projects that unite our libraries.
