The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, specified, in a statement, that the Argentine citizen Nahuel Gallo is in criminal proceedings because there is evidence that commits him to serious acts that threaten the security of the Nation.
The prosecutor's statement is in response to Argentina's Security Minister, Patricia Bullrich. In this regard, the prosecutor points out that it will be through the corresponding judicial process that the evidence collected will be compared with the allegations that he and his defense may make.
He indicated that the notoriety given by the Argentine high authorities to the arrest of Gallo is directly related to the fact that the investigations carried out by the Venezuelan auxiliary bodies of justice reveal that Minister Burlich herself appears in the chain of command of the group of terrorists sent from Argentina and that is what she says in the file.
He pointed out that Minister Bullrich must answer to the Argentine people and to Gallo's relatives because this gendarme's trip was authorized without informing the Venezuelan authorities, which is a serious precedent in the region, and why in March of this year she publicly said that “she was going to send gendarmes to Venezuela with objectives outside international law and law.”
The prosecutor stated that the erratic behavior of the Argentine government so far only demonstrates its connection with this aggression against Venezuela, which was deactivated. And today, in view of the incriminating statements issued by Minister Burlich and Chancellor Gerardo Werthein, these officials have been identified as people of interest in the investigation, so they will be incorporated into the cause. The prosecutor asserted that it will now be up to the national justice system to evaluate all these elements to issue its verdict.
