Attorney General reveals plan that sought to generate violence to achieve Machado's authorization

The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek Wiliam Saab, held a press conference this Wednesday to provide judicial information to guarantee political stability and citizen peace.

Saab said that Emil Brandt Ulloa confessed “how they planned to organize themselves and the funding they had” and unveiled new plans to generate violence in the country with violent actions carried out in the city of Barinas on January 15 .

“Once arrested, after reflecting, this subject confessed that he was not acting alone; and that his behavior and that of his collaborators respond to a previously structured and organized plan to subject the country to new days of violence,” he said.

In the confessions , the detainee states that on December 6 in Caracas, Magaly Meda and Henry Alviárez give instructions on the destabilizing actions they should initiate to force the authorization of María Corina Machado, which consisted of inciting violence and provoking the action of military and police officials to victimize themselves and from Barinas to activate the progressive destabilization of the country.

In this regard, Saab indicated that the Public Ministry has requested nine arrest warrants; two of which have been implemented; “Those of Oswaldo Bracho, Pedro Urruchurtu, Omar González Moreno, Humberto Villalobos, Claudia Macero, Fernando Martínez Mottola and Magaly Meda are pending.
