Authorities urge parishioners to follow preventive measures during Holy Week

During the Safe Holy Week Device 2025, the Deputy Minister of Prevention, Public Security and Peace Quadrants, G/D Endes Palencia, urged the parishioners to maintain preventive measures during the activities of the Major Week. During the day, supervision was carried out in the Basilica of Santa Teresa, in Caracas, where the work of more than 600 officials from different security forces, deployed to ensure the protection of parishioners at the traditional mass of Holy Wednesday, was verified.

Palencia highlighted the importance of adopting protective measures in religious spaces, and therefore urged the population to stay hydrated, protect themselves from the sun and take precautions when using candles in processions and temples, to avoid leaving them burning in closed places and thus preventing fire risks.

During the celebration of the Nazarene of São Paulo, security and care strategies were established to manage the influx of approximately 42,000 people in the city, planning that seeks to guarantee an orderly and smooth day.

The Deputy Minister highlighted the fundamental role of prevention in the success of the operation. Through the Great Peace Quadrants Mission, actions are implemented aimed at the comprehensive protection of citizens, where security measures are reinforced to prevent incidents.

Finally, the authorities invited the population to live Holy Week in an environment of reflection and peace. The commitment to guarantee optimal conditions for the development of religious activities and for the safety and well-being of the attendees was reiterated.
