Barineses received a day of comprehensive medical care

The community of El Chaparral, located in the La Luz parish of the Rojas municipality, in the state of Barinas, was the scene of a day of comprehensive care, for the benefit of 107 people living in this town.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Health, the initiative had a particular focus on caring for homes affected by the recent floods. During the approach, 16 houses with damage caused by flooding were visited and evaluated, and it was found that another 10 houses are currently at risk, making it possible to identify urgent needs and provide assistance on the ground.

In parallel with the evaluation of the houses, the central day of care was held at the Type III Popular Office in La Luz. There, free and specialized medical care was offered to a wide spectrum of the population, including children, young people, pregnant mothers, adults and the elderly.

Attendees received general medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, respiratory therapy, nutrition and care for people with disabilities. In addition, deworming sessions were held and a pharmacy point was set up for the free delivery of medicines.
