Beach volleyball and José Rojas in skating add two more medals for Venezuela in the Bolivarians

The national duo of Darlin Rodríguez and Sara López won the bronze medal for women's beach volleyball at the XX Ayacucho-Lima 2025 Bolivarian Games.
The Criollas won the gold after beating Peru 19-21, 21-19 and 15-9 in a tie break.
For his part, José Carlos Rojas in speed skating won the bronze medal in the final of the 500 meters + distance.
Rojas won the one medal for Venezuela in that discipline in this edition of the Games, after occupying second place in the qualifying series with 43,283, improved his performance in the semifinal with 42,931 and scored 43,286 in the decisive round, escorting the leader of the specialty, the Colombian Jhon Tascón (42,720) and the Chilean Ricardo Verdugo (42,780).
The podium achieved by José Carlos Rojas is important, because it highlights the competitiveness of Venezuelan speed skating against regional powers in the discipline such as Colombia, Guatemala and Ecuador.
