The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, commemorated this Wednesday the 195 years since the last proclamation of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, with a strong call for the unity of patriotic forces.
Through his Telegram channel, the head of state recalled that in that proclamation the Liberator “expressed the urgency of preserving the union to prevent betrayal and despair from returning.”
“Bolivar didn't plow in the sea. His example and sacrifice were sown; and then came the great reviver of Bolivarianism, our beloved eternal Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, the man who had to see his ideas sprout in the 21st century,” he said.
The Dignitary stressed that, at present, this proclamation represents a motivation that drives revolutionaries in the battle against imperial domination. “There are those in the world who cannot understand how the people of Venezuela have been able to endure all the tests, and to stand triumphantly today, ready for the new tests; seek in Bolívar the morality, the spirit, the courage and the courage that leads us to battle,” he said.
“Bolívar's idea of uniting Latin America will continue to exist, and we will be nothing if we don't keep it alive on the street, in the communes and in the community,” the president added.
