The governor of the state of Sucre, Jhoanna Carrillo, reported that response protocols were activated in Cumanacoa following the damage reported on October 19 by Tropical Wave 48.

Carrillo said that the preliminary report indicates that approximately 20 homes were abandoned and belongings were lost. A technical evaluation will be carried out after the water recedes to determine the magnitude of the damage and establish support mechanisms for families.

Mayor Tomás Bello said that the Manzanares River maintains a controlled flow and confirmed the presence of government authorities in the area.
