The Bolivarian Government of Mérida is deployed on the Los Chorros de Milla road, where it deals with the emergency situation generated by the heavy rainfall that caused an increase in the flow of the ravine in the area.

From the site, Governor Arnaldo Sánchez reported that so far there have been no physical or human losses. He highlighted the presence and coordinated work of Civil Protection, Firefighters, the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (ZODI) and the State Police, who are deployed throughout the region to ensure the safety of the population.

Sánchez also supervised the Chorros de Milla Zoo, where the river had overflowed, although the flow has already decreased, so he called for calm to all Merida residents, in which he assured that they have total control of the situation and that work will continue to be done to serve the population. “We are deployed serving our people. The call is to all people from Merida, to trust our team,” said the regional president.

On the other hand, the Autonomous Toll and Road Service of the state of Mérida (SAPVEM) deployed a specialized work team to clean up the landslides that occurred in the Los Pegones area of Local 008.
