Bolivarian Government advances plan for the reforestation of the Orinoco Mining Arc

More than five million 500 thousand units of plants of the Acacia Mangium species will be planted, as part of a reforestation and ecological restoration plan being carried out by the National Government, in the Orinoco Mining Arc.

According to the newspaper Últimas Noticias, these plants will be planted on 8,800 hectares impacted by mining.

During the launch of the project, the Minister of Ecological Mining Development, Héctor Silva, stressed that this plan is part of the Government's commitment to the recovery of areas affected by mining.

“Our goal is for mining development to go hand in hand with the conservation of ecosystems. We are working for an ecological mining model, where production and sustainability coexist in harmony,” he said.

The Minister of Ecosocialism, Josué Lorca, highlighted the importance of this type of project in the fight against climate change, which also promotes a culture of respect and care for the environment.
