Through the so-called Pre-Rain Plan and the Prevention in Action Plan, the Bolivarian Government in Cagua of the state of Aragua carries out continuous maintenance of canals, pipes, streams, rivers and drainage systems to prevent flooding and mitigate risks that may affect the town during the rainy season.

Local government personnel remain deployed throughout the year and carry out intensive desolving and dredging work to remove sediments, garbage and vegetation that may obstruct water flow, while during the rainy season, the operational teams of the Sucre mayor's office, together with prevention and public safety agencies, are constantly monitoring canals and streams.

The tasks are carried out hand in hand with Civil Protection, Fire and POLISUCRE personnel, allowing for a quick response to any eventuality.

Currently, work is being carried out with the cleaning of the La Ciudadela canal, the sewerage of Bermúdez Street, the packaging of the La Comuna canal and the drainage of Sucre Street with Independence.
