Thanks to the initiative of organized Popular Power and the support of the national and local government, La Pastora parish has undergone a significant transformation in more than 160 facades that have been restored, recovering the color and historical beauty of that community.

Councilman Jesús García, president of the Permanent Commission on Infrastructure, Urbanism and Venezuelan Living of the Caracas City Council (CMC), highlighted the importance of these actions, which go beyond aesthetics. “These renovations not only beautify our neighborhoods, but they also generate employment and strengthen the sense of community,” said García.

He stressed that in La Pastora, in addition to the restoration of the facades, work has been carried out to repair roads and other infrastructures, improving the quality of life of the inhabitants.

García affirmed that the organized Popular Power of the Eight Roots of Rockers communes; Roads of Independence, Polvorín United in Victorious Battle; Quality of Life; Heroic Resistance of the Lídice and the Nueve Raíces de Simón Commune, recovered their facades through the Territorial Action Plan (PAT), in its fourth cycle.

He also added that in the Ana Karina Rote commune, located in the parish of San Juan, more than 500 families benefited from the waterproofing of two buildings, guaranteeing the durability of their homes and preventing leaks.

He explained that the popular brigades of the various communes have worked together with the brigades of the CMC Permanent Commission on Infrastructure, Urbanism and Venezuelan Living, to carry out these projects. He specified that this waterproofing was carried out in record time, which is an example of the commitment and efficiency of the brigades.

García said that these initiatives, promoted by President Nicolás Maduro and Mayor Carmen Meléndez, demonstrate the commitment of the Revolutionary Government to the well-being of communities and that by involving the inhabitants in the execution of projects, the sense of belonging is strengthened and self-management is promoted.

To conclude, the Councilman pointed out that the renovation of facades and waterproofing in La Pastora and San Juan are a clear example of how the joint work between the State and the People's Power can generate positive and lasting changes in communities. These actions not only beautify urban spaces but also improve the quality of life of the inhabitants and strengthen the social fabric.
