The Bolivarian Government, through the mayor's office of the Guaicaipura municipality in Miranda state, reported that it formally began work to remove kiosks on Vargas Boulevard, a strategic action aimed at modernizing and organizing the central area of Los Teques.

This initiative is part of the preparatory works for the city's centenary, seeking to restore to citizens the right to walk through clear, safe and aesthetically renovated streets.

The local president, Farith Fraija, stressed that this transformation does not represent a displacement of the commercial sector, but rather a strategic relocation. It should be noted that, during the past month of December, all the merchants who lived in these spaces were successfully transferred to the recently inaugurated Independence Day, thus guaranteeing the continuity of their economic activities under decent conditions.

The boulevard project involves the creation of wider pedestrian corridors and the optimization of street furniture, details a press release.
