Bolivarian Government begins replacement of submarine cable in Puerto la Cruz maritime channel

The Bolivarian Government began replacing 120 meters of sublacustrine cable, to provide reliability and stability in the Caribbean Mall electrical circuit in Puerto La Cruz, Sotillo municipality in the state of Anzoátegui.

The works are carried out by the Ministry of Electric Energy, through the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) and with support from the regional government, on the navigable channel of El Paraíso, which is part of the El Morro Tourist Complex shared by the municipalities of Sotillo and Urbaneja.

According to a press release, this cable powers the Caribbean Mall shopping center, the Doral Beach, Puerto Morro, Isla Paraíso, Pueblo Viejo, Esturión, Punta Marina, Terramar, Las Canoas, Fransiski and Golf Plaza urban areas, among others. It also supplies energy to the Maremare hotel, golf course and shops located nearby, which translates into more than 4,500 users.

The Secretary General of Government, Katiuska Homsi, inspected the maneuvers and highlighted the importance of this project, to improve the conditions of public services in both jurisdictions.
