President in charge announced the creation of the General Staff for Transitional Camps after a double earthquake

The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the creation of the General Staff for the creation of Transitional Camps and the Accelerated Planning of Housing Projects, as part of the balance sheet of the contingency operation after the double earthquake in the country.
He indicated that this body will make it possible to organize, immediately, the care of families who lost their homes and to advance housing solutions in a very short period of time.
He explained that the commission will be headed by the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, and will have as executive secretary the sectoral vice-president for the Social Area, Héctor Rodríguez.
He explained that the team will consist of the Ministry of Popular Power for Habitat and Housing, the Ministry of Popular Power for National Commerce, the Ministry of People's Power for Industries and National Production, as well as the entire Social Vice Presidency.
In addition, the National Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents (IDENNA) Autonomous Institute is included. The Ministry of Popular Power for Food, the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the Ministry of People's Power for Economy, Finance and Foreign Trade will also participate.
“Likewise, because of the governors of La Guaira, Aragua, Miranda, Carabobo and Falcón, which were the states that were affected in some cases that were not so serious, or the specific serious case of the state La Guaira will also be made up of the mayors of Chacao, Vargas, Caracas and the head of the Capital District,” he added.
Rodríguez pointed out that the National Risk Management System teams are still deployed in areas with collapsed structures, with tasks of searching, evaluating damage and transferring affected people. He stressed that the Government maintains institutional coordination to ensure a coordinated and sustained response.
“Our priority is to guarantee protection, food and immediate support to all affected people. We are not going to leave the families who are facing this situation alone today,” he said.
