The National Risk Management System remains deployed serving communities affected by the heavy rains of the last few hours in Miranda state, specifically in the San Francisco de Yare parish, Simón Bolívar municipality.

The Secretary of Risk Management of Miranda State, Rafael Vegas, said this Tuesday that mattresses, kitchens, roofs, food, among others, have been delivered to communities.

“The work is being carried out together with the social team of the Government and the Mayor's Office in order to meet the needs of those affected. We are also evaluating structural damage to homes,” he said.

The damage to the area is due to the overflow of the La Candelaria, Alabado Sea Dios, Virgen del Valle, Rio Tuy and Rio Tocorón streams.

So far, 10 affected sectors, more than 50 families and more than 60 flooded homes have been reported.
