Bolivarian Government continues search for 14 miners trapped in wells in El Callao

The Bolivarian Government is still deployed in the Cuatro Esquinas mining sector of the municipality of El Callao, in the south of the state of Bolívar, to deal with the emergency that occurred after the collapse of mining wells due to heavy rains in the early morning of Monday, October 13, reported the governor of the entity, Yulisbeth García.
The regional president indicated that the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, guided the immediate activation of all security and rescue agencies: Firefighters, Civil Protection (PC), Venezuelan Corporation of Guyana (CVG), Venezuelan Mining Company (CVM) and other security components, in an articulated work with the supportive people of El Callao.
On his Instagram account, García thanked “the multidisciplinary team deployed; Ministry of Mines and CVG, with guidance from Minister @ hectorsilvavzla, General @ rcmarcoTorres and the team of the CVM, Government, Workers and the United Popular Power. We express all our support and solidarity with the families of the 14 miners who sadly lost their lives in this tragedy.”
“As a responsible and committed government, we are full of faith in God, and we will remain active in this place, attending to any situation and accompanying affected families in everything that is necessary,” he said.
He said that “we are united, in prayer and with faith in God to accompany the families of the victims of the El Callao tragedy. There is a whole multidisciplinary team, guided by our president Nicolás Maduro to support whatever is necessary.”
“In these difficult times; we say we are present for our people, with all the institutions of the Bolivarian Government, who are working to recover the bodies of the 14 people who were trapped after the collapse of the cylinders of this Cuatro Esquinas mining point and circle,” he said.
