Bolivarian Government coordinated strategies for the production of toys in the country

Within the framework of the Decree of the State of Economic Emergency, the Ministry of Popular Power for Industries and National Production (MPPIPN), set up a technical table with representatives of the Venezuelan toy sector, with the purpose of articulating strategies that promote the productive development of the sector.

The aforementioned Ministry, in its account of the social network Insragram, specified that the initiative seeks to promote innovation, protect the national industry and guarantee access to quality toys for the population.

The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Industries and National Production and president of the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP), Alex Saab; and was attended by the Deputy Minister of National Productive Development, Laila Tajeldine and the executive director of the Venezuelan Foreign Trade Corporation (CORPOVEX), Vanessa Balza.

Also in attendance were representatives of the Venezuelan Chamber of Commerce in Toys and Related Products (CAVENJU), the Venezuelan Chamber of Toys, Sports and Recreation (CAVEFAJ), and companies such as Tamanaco, Promeplas C.A., Carambola Toys and Medina Graphics.

During the meeting, key proposals such as technology transfer with allied countries to optimize manufacturing processes, access to financing for the sector, and the implementation of operations against smuggling and piracy were analyzed.

In addition, the promotion of communication campaigns that encourage the consumption of products with the “Made in Venezuela” seal was proposed.

Minister Saab stressed that these actions are part of the vision of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to consolidate an economic model based on domestic production.
