Bolivarian Government delivers completely remodeled Cirila Vegas Maternity Hospital in Mamporal

The Bolivarian Government handed over the completely remodeled Cirila Vegas Maternity Hospital in Mamporal, Eulalia Buroz municipality, in Miranda state.

“The delivery of these completely remodeled spaces will allow the attention of more than 80 communities,” said the governor of Miranda, Elio Serrano, during the reopening ceremony.

Serrano highlighted that a total remodeling of the space was carried out that will improve the care of pregnant women. “It was also equipped with new specialized equipment to optimize the medical service. We have found a health staff worthy of recognition,” he emphasized.

New ultrasound equipment, obstetric bed, oxygen cylinders, stop cart, infusion pumps, computers, air conditioners and LED emergency lamps were delivered, according to Prensa Gobernación de Miranda.

In addition, the Regional President explained that in terms of infrastructure, together with the three levels of national, regional and municipal government, the waterproofing of more than a thousand square meters of the roof, replacement of rain channels, remodeling of the façade, lighting, replacement of electrical outlets, renovation of the drinking water supply system, among other optimization works, were carried out.

For its part, the single health authority in the state of Miranda, Marelia Guillén, explained that maternity provides gynecology and obstetrics consultation services, health programs, prenatal care, pediatric consultation, family planning, immunization, hospitalization, obstetric emergency, genetic consultation, ultrasound, general surgery consultation and cervical cancer screening, among others.

In addition, he highlighted the work they do together with the Humanized Childbirth Plan for decent birth care, “this is one of the few maternity hospitals where a family member is allowed to enter with the pregnant woman, and we are complying with what the Ministry of Popular Power for Health has requested, that it be something beautiful, assisted, accompanied,” he added.
