Bolivarian Government delivers materials to repair homes for affected families in Sucre

Over the next few days, the Bolivarian Government will deliver a total of seven thousand blocks and other construction materials in the municipalities of Valdez (Güiria) and Mariño (Irapa) for the rehabilitation of homes affected by the onslaught of rain and rising rivers.

Zinc sheets, cement bags and paints are part of the materials that will be delivered through the Sucre State Housing Corporation to the municipalities previously affected. Governor Gilberto Pinto stressed that the materials will be used to repair homes that were affected by the overflow of rivers and streams in those jurisdictions, as a result of heavy rains.

In the town of Güiria alone, about two thousand homes in approximately 20 communities were affected by the overflow of the Guatapanare River, which will be recovered through the “My Beautiful House” plan.
