Bolivarian Government expresses willingness to help Trinidad and Tobago in the face of an oil spill on its shores

The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, expressed, on behalf of the Bolivarian Government, his willingness to collaborate with Trinidad and Tobago to deal with the oil spill that occurred in its waters.
From the social network X, he wrote: “Following instructions from President @NicolasMaduro, we have been monitoring the situation generated by the oil spill that occurred in the waters of Trinidad and Tobago on February 07.
Meetings have been held at the technical level with our neighbors to assess the necessary impacts and mitigation measures, and we are at the disposal of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago to cooperate in whatever is required.”
Two days ago, an oil spill from a ship whose owner has not
been identified affected the coast of the island of Tobago. The event was described as a national emergency by the island's government. The Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Keith Rowley, told the media that a group of gangs were trying to contain the oil that covers several beaches on the southwestern coast of Tobago.
