The sectoral vice-president of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez, reported that ten projects were approved in the state of Guárico, as part of the national strategy for strengthening scientific and technological capacities in the regions.

He specified that the projects, supported by the National Fund for Science, Technology and Innovation (FONACIT), cover areas such as biotechnology, public health, agri-food production, technical training and development of scientific infrastructure. The initiative envisages a participation of 70% of women and 30% of men.

During a meeting with Governor Donald Donaire, the advances of the scientific-technological agenda in the state were evaluated and the incorporation of local human talent was agreed, as well as joint work between communities, scientists, regional and municipal authorities.

The sector vice-president stressed that these actions respond to the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro and are aligned with the principles of the Great Mission Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán, which promotes productive ecosystems based on ethics for life.
