Bolivarian Government forms Elite Unit of the Urban Search and Rescue team in Carabobo

In order to provide timely responses to cases of natural disasters, the Elite Unit of the Urban Search and Rescue Team (USAR) was formed in Valencia, Carabobo state.
Iván Campos, first commander of the Valencia Fire Department, reported that the team is made up of Civil Protection officers, engineers, firefighters and doctors trained in search and rescue tasks in collapsed structures, according to the regional press.
He explained that the group has thermal cameras, power plants and heavy tools such as rotary hammers for the effective development of its operations during deployment in the face of any contingency.
