The Bolivarian Government handed over the rehabilitation of the Dr. Tiburcio Garrido Hospital in Chivacoa, Bruzual municipality in the state of Yaracuy, according to a publication in the newspaper Úlmas Noticias.

The activity was led by the Minister for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, accompanied by the governor of Yaracuy, Leonardo Intoci, noted that the rehabilitation included the recovery and modernization of critical areas, including: traumatology, trauma shock room, pediatric and adult emergency, hospitalization rooms, laboratory, and imaging services.

It was also known that a new ambulance was delivered, sent by the National Executive, which will be used exclusively for emergency transportation to the healthcare center.

It also announced the opening of three new postgraduate programs in pediatrics, general surgery and epidemiology. He also reported that there is a plan to soon incorporate studies in pediatric surgery.
