President (E) Delcy Rodríguez received NGOs that provide humanitarian assistance in Venezuela

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, expressed this Saturday the gratitude of the Venezuelan State and People to the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that have deployed humanitarian aid work in the country, following the earthquakes that occurred last June 24.

This event reflects the ties of friendship and cooperation between Venezuela and the international community, and for this reason, the immediate support provided, especially in the city of Caracas and the state of La Guaira, is recognized.

During the meeting, the presence of senior representatives of the 18 non-governmental organizations that joined forces in the emergency was noted:

11. Elena Vicario — Norwegian Refugee Council
12. Pablo Castro — Danish Refugee Council
13. Nakord Garcia — International Medical Corps
14. Mike Boomer — Coordination, Emergency and Development (CESVI)
15. Carolina de Jesús — Project Hope
16. Fátima Andraca — Save the Children
17. Efraín Guzmán — Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED)
18. Dunia de Barnola — Action Against Man

Under the coordination of the United Nations (UN), the Bolivarian Government opened the doors to immediate international assistance for the attention of the Venezuelan people. Therefore, the support deployed has been made up of medical professionals, paramedics, engineers, logistics experts and volunteers.

The actions carried out have included:

Saving lives and providing care for the most affected sectors.
— Public health, primary health care and triage
Supply of drinking water and non-perishable food
— Establishment of temporary camps.
— Search, rescue and damage assessment tasks in communities.
Spiritual and faith support for families.
